Program Description

Event Details

Cardiac arrest happens when the entire heart stops beating, and can happen anywhere to anyone at any time. For every one-minute CPR is not performed on a person in cardiac arrest the chance of survival decreases by 10%. This is why the Quad Cities HEARTSafe Coalition will offer a free Hands-Only CPR training on Wednesday, February 27th from 5:30-6:30 PM at the East Moline Public Library. The training will cover the importance of bystander CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), along with practicing lifesaving CPR skills. This training does not lead to certification.
